After the 1-1 draw between Manchester United and Arsenal, Jose Mourinho analysed the game and noted that the draw felt more like a loss.
The Portuguese did at least take some positives from the first 89 minutes of play - before Olivier Giroud grabbed a last-gasp equaliser for the Gunners.
"I can only explain the work of my own team," Mourinho said at his post-match press conference.
"We did not see Arsenal's best players and when we lost the ball, our reaction was very good: very aggressive, very intense.
"They didn't have opportunities and when we had the ball, we had good chances - so should have scored before 1-0, and should have won the game comfortably."
United's coach also had words of encouragement for his staff.
"I feel very sad for my players and for the supporters," he continued.
"It's very frustrating but I have nothing bad to say about any of my players.
"We were not lucky with the result but we are lucky with the fans we have because I remember last year's games where the team won and people weren't happy.
"The draw feels like a defeat."
A controversial penalty decision in the first half led to Mourinho taking a sly dig at referee Andre Marriner.
"I liked the words that Marriner told us before the game: I do not want to be the man of the game.," he said.
"On the penalty, I don't want to say what I think."
