Toulouse 1 - 2 Metz: Metz end winless streak at Toulouse

Posted Sunday, November 20, 2016 by PA

Metz broke their run of five Ligue 1 matches without a win with a 2-1 away triumph over Toulouse at Stadium Municipal.

The hosts started the game in positive fashion but their hard work was undone when Metz winger Opa Nguette was brought down by Les Pitchouns goalkeeper Alban Lafont in the area on 35 minutes.

Yann Jouffre stepped up to drill his penalty past the 17-year-old and into the bottom right corner to give the visitors the lead at the break.

Three minutes after the restart, Les Grenats doubled their lead through Georges Mandjeck after he curled in Benoit Assou-Ekotto's cross before Odsonne Edouard netted a consolation for Toulouse with the last kick of the game.
