AFC Wimbledon vs Bury - AFC Wimbledon boosted by return of Tom Elliott for visit of Bury

AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley had an injury boost on Thursday ahead of their Sky Bet League One game with Bury.

In-form striker Tom Elliott returned to training after illness and could be included in the squad on Saturday after missing the 5-0 win over the same club on Tuesday in their FA Cup reply.

Jon Meades also missed the midweek game due to an ankle injury and will face a late fitness test before the squad is announced.

Andy Barcham (hamstring), Darius Charles and Sean Kelly (both thigh) are all sidelined.

Bury's head of football Chris Brass and youth-team manager Ryan Kidd will take temporary charge after the club sacked David Flitcroft and assistant Ben Futcher this week.

The Shakers, second in the table in September, have been hindered by a long list of injuries and are chasing their first win in 12 matches in all competitions.

It remains to be seen whether Kean Bryan (thigh), Ishmael Miller (hamstring) and Chris Brown (knee) are ready to return to the squad.

Nathan Cameron (knee), Craig Jones (thigh), Tom Pope (punctured lung/ribs) and Kelvin Etuhu (fibula) are long-term absentees.
