Accrington Stanley vs Stevenage Borough - Shay McCartan primed for Accrington recall

Accrington will be boosted by the return of Shay McCartan when they host Stevenage.

The forward was taken ill, struggling to breathe, during the FA Cup victory at Bradford at the start of the month, prompting a series of precautionary tests on his health. But he has now received the all-clear and will be back in the Stanley squad on Saturday.

Zak Vyner, John O'Sullivan, Billy Kee and Chris Eagles have also been absent recently and it is hoped that at least one of the quartet will be back in contention for the Sky Bet League Two game.

However, full-back Janoi Donacien will remain out as he requires an operation.

Stevenage have no fresh injury concerns after their home draw with Yeovil last weekend.

Darren Sarll's side were in line for their third win in four league games before conceding a last-gasp equaliser.

Tyler Walker's fitness will be assessed but, having not made the bench against Yeovil, he it is unlikely he will be involved.

Ronnie Henry, Fraser Franks and Ben Kennedy are all a booking away from suspension, while Jobi McAnuff returned to the bench last Saturday and will be hoping to be in contention.
