Fleetwood Town vs Chesterfield - Fleetwood without banned Chris Long

Posted Friday, November 18, 2016 by PA

Fleetwood forward Chris Long serves the second of a three-match ban and misses the visit of Chesterfield.

Midfielder Jimmy Ryan remains a doubt after hobbling off with a foot injury at the weekend and missing the midweek FA Cup replay win over Southport.

Defender Conor McLaughlin returns from Northern Ireland duty.

Goalkeeper Alex Cairns played in midweek but Chris Neal is set to be recalled.

Striker Ched Evans faces a late fitness test for Chesterfield.

Evans limped off with an ankle injury in their 4-1 home defeat against Sheffield United last Sunday.

Meanwhile both Jon Nolan (hamstring) and Liam Graham (knee) have been ruled out of Saturday's fixture through injury.

Chesterfield, rocked by the news of Dave Allen's resignation as chairman earlier this week, are rooted to the foot of Sky Bet League One with just three wins from 17 matches.
