“Arsenal could sign Harry Kane”

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has risked the wrath of Tottenham Hotspur fans by suggesting that the Gunners could sign their star striker Harry Kane.

The player-turned-pundit was discussing the rumours that Kane is stalling on a new White Hart Lane contract, following the news that there are also issues regarding the new deal of his captain Hugo Lloris.

The England international spent two years at the Gunners academy from 1996, and despite spending several years out on loan, Kane finally made the breakthrough to the Spurs first-team in the 2014/15 season.

Parlour said on talkSPORT: “‘He does support Arsenal so… Have you ever seen that picture when we went unbeaten?
“We went on a bus tour in Islington and he had red and white hair. So who knows?”

After going away with the Three Lions for their qualifier against Scotland, Kane has now returned to Spurs as he continues his recovery from injury. Tottenham’s no.10 had been out since September with ankle ligament damage but returned for the 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates stadium.

Following the international break, Arsenal face Man United while Tottenham will play West Ham at White Hart Lane.
