Fleetwood Town vs Southport FC - Chris Long suspended for Fleetwood

Posted Monday, November 14, 2016 by PA

Fleetwood forward Chris Long is suspended for the FA Cup first round replay at home to Southport.

Long was sent off in the closing stages of Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Port Vale and will serve a minimum three-match suspension.

Midfielder Jimmy Ryan is a doubt after hobbling off with a foot injury at the weekend.

International duty with Northern Ireland means Conor McLaughlin will also be absent but otherwise manager Uwe Rosler will go with his strongest team.

Southport are looking to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches in all competitions.

Midfielder Liam Hynes, a recent signing from Stalybridge, is unavailable as he is cup-tied.

Mark O'Brien's knee injury means he will not feature until next month at the earliest.

Defender Ross White is also missing, having been sidelined since early October.
