Bradford AFC vs Rochdale - Rouven Sattelmaier set for first league start for Bradford

Bradford goalkeeper Rouven Sattelmaier will make his first league start for the club in the home game against Rochdale.

First-choice Colin Doyle is away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland so German Sattelmaier will start back-to-back games after stepping in for the midweek Checkatrade Trophy defeat at Morecambe.

Defender James Meredith is in contention and could return to the starting line-up. He made his comeback on Wednesday night after an ankle injury and played for 70 minutes.

Forward Haris Vuckic will be monitored after the on-loan Newcastle forward required stitches in a gashed foot sustained in midweek.

Rochdale suffered a fresh injury blow ahead of the game when veteran Brian Barry-Murphy snapped his Achilles in the 2-1 Checkatrade Trophy victory at Hartlepool.

Matty Lund also misses out as he has been called up by Northern Ireland.

Dale will once again be without striker Calvin Andrew as the 12-match suspension for violent conduct he was handed by the Football Association last week continues.

They are also missing midfield duo Peter Vincenti and Jamie Allen, still sidelined by ankle and knee issues respectively.
