Blackpool vs Notts County - Jamille Matt a concern for Blackpool

Posted Friday, November 11, 2016 by PA

Blackpool are hoping Jamille Matt will be fit for their Sky Bet League One clash with Notts County.

The striker scored his first goal of the season in last weekend's victory over Kidderminster before sustaining a bang to the hip that forced him off after only 34 minutes.

Teenager Bright Osayi-Samuel impressed in the midweek Checktrade Trophy victory over Everton and will hope to have played himself into contention.

Goalkeeper Dean Lyness (ankle) and striker Jack Redshaw (shin splints) remain sidelined.

Notts County boss John Sheridan is expected to make plenty of changes.

Sheridan swapped seven players in midweek in the EFL Trophy, with only Louis Laing, Haydn Hollis, Carl Dickinson and Matt Tootle keeping their places in the starting line-up following the FA Cup draw at Boreham Wood.

Defender Richard Duffy is available in the league again after suspension while Adam Collin will resume in goal and the likes of Jordan Richards, Michael O'Connor, Rob Milson, Alex Rodman and Jonathan Forte are also strong contenders for recalls.

Leading scorer Jon Stead is out with an ankle injury and the nine-goal striker is not expected back until around Christmas.
