Grimsby Town vs Barnet - Kayden Jackson pushing for starting berth against Barnet

New Grimsby boss Marcus Bignot has a number of selection issues to address ahead of his side's League Two clash with Barnet on Saturday.

Bignot took charge of the Mariners for the first time in the midweek Checkatrade Trophy defeat by Sheffield United and was impressed by the form of striker Kayden Jackson.

Jackson is pushing for a place in the starting line-up, while Zak Mills also performed well at right-back in place of Ben Davies, who is a major doubt with a calf injury.

Goalkeeper James McKeown is available again after missing out in midweek through suspension, while Ashley Chambers could return to league action after three months out.

Barnet welcome back striker John Akinde from suspension.

Akinde, who tops the League Two scoring charts with 12 goals, returns to Martin Allen's side as the Bees look to stretch their unbeaten league run to four games.

Defender Elliot Johnson and midfielder Jamal Campbell-Ryce could feature after missing the last few games through injury. Gavin Hoyte (hamstring) is unavailable and Shaun Batt (hamstring) is out long term.

James Pearson (knee), Michael Gash (knee ligament) and Sam Togwell (hernia) remain sidelined for the foreseeable future.
