Manchester United transfer news: Jose Mourinho plots shock Mesut Ozil move as Arsenal contract talks stall

Manchester United have set their sights on a shock move for Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil, according to the Sun.
The reports states that United are ready to make a move for the Germany international whose contract expires in 2018.
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho brought Ozil to Real Madrid from Werder Bremen and is a long-term admirer of the 28-year-old. Per-the-source, Mourinho called Ozil "the best No.10 in the world" when the pair worked together at Madrid.
The Mirror goes onto state that Ozil is yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal as he holds out for a huge increase on his current £140,000-a-week deal.
Ozil has been in stunning form for Arsenal this season with four assists and seven goals in 14 apperances for the Gunners this season. The Germany international also provided a total of 19 assists for Arsenal last season.
Arsenal take on Manchester United in their next Premier League fixture.
