Southport vs Fleetwood - James Caton could start for confident Southport

Steve Burr's in-form Southport side are full of confidence as they host west-coast neighbours Fleetwood in the first round of the FA Cup.

The Vanarama National League side head into the match on the back of a four-game unbeaten run and raring to go as they take on the League One outfit.

Creative midfielder James Caton may have earned a place in the starting line-up after coming off the bench in last weekend's 2-1 victory at Torquay to slot home the winner with 15 minutes remaining.

Defenders Ross White and Mark O'Brien (knee) will be monitored for match fitness as the Sandgrounders look to build on their qualifying victory over Chester, where Declan Weeks' goal made the difference.

Fleetwood boss Uwe Rosler is likely to rotate his squad for the trip to Haig Avenue.

Town face three matches in six days and Rosler may well take the chance to rest some key men for the first of those.

Striker Ash Turner may not welcome a break, having marked his return to the starting XI with a goal against Bristol Rovers last time out.

Aaron Amadi-Holloway remains on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury.
