Manchester City are preparing to launch a £70 million bid for Antoine Griezmann – and spark a major transfer battle with rivals Manchester United.
According to the Sunday Mirror, City are willing to break the bank for the forward who is believed to be keen on a move away from Atletico Madrid next summer.
They will face competition from United, who see the 25-year-old as a long-term replacement for Wayne Rooney. Chelsea are also believed to be monitoring his situation.
The French star, who has scored 50 La Liga goals for Atletico, has a contract running until 2021.
