Lincoln vs Altrincham - Adam Marriott could return for Lincoln's Cup tie with Altrincham

Adam Marriott may make his return for Lincoln as they take on Altrincham in the FA Cup on Saturday.

The striker has been sidelined since September with an elbow injury but it is hoped he will be on the bench for the first-round tie.

It could be another injury boost for Imps boss Danny Cowley who saw Taylor Miles make his return to the squad at Chester last weekend following his recovery from a fractured ankle.

Defender Lee Beevers will not feature as he begins what looks set to be a considerably lengthy spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.

The visitors eased past Northern Premier League Premier Division side Matlock 3-1 in the qualifying round and are hoping to build on that win following a tough start to their National League North campaign.

Altrincham captain Alan Goodall will miss the tie as he serves a one-match suspension for his red card in last weekend's defeat at Worcester.

Fellow centre-back Tom Hannigan has boosted the squad as he returns after completing a three-match ban for his sending-off in his side's previous cup clash with Matlock.

Meanwhile, midfielder Charlie Joyce will not be available again for the Robins after mutually agreeing to the termination of his contract.
