Portsmouth vs Wycombe Wanderers - Portsmouth missing suspended midfield duo for Wycombe FA Cup tie

Posted Friday, November 04, 2016 by PA

Portsmouth will be without midfielders Amine Linganzi and Michael Doyle ahead of their FA Cup first-round clash against Wycombe.

Linganzi will begin a three-match ban following his red card against Cambridge last weekend while Doyle picked up his fifth booking of the League Two campaign and will serve a one-match suspension.

Ben Close could deputise in midfield while Danny Rose is also in line to return to the side.

Defender Matt Clarke is hoping to retain his place for Pompey while veteran forward Noel Hunt is pushing for a start.

Wycombe midfielder Myles Weston is available for selection as they travel to Fratton Park in the FA Cup.

Weston was suspended for the 2-2 draw against Doncaster in their Sky Bet League Two game last weekend after he was sent off for two bookable offences against Barnet.

Wanderers' manager Gareth Ainsworth has no fresh injury or suspension concerns.

Dayle Southwell (groin) and Max Muller (hamstring) are the only confirmed absentees.
