Sheffield Wed. vs Ipswich - Keiren Westwood set for Sheffield Wednesday return

Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood is expected to return to contention for the home game against Ipswich.

Westwood has missed the last two games due to a back injury but could be ready to resume in place of Cameron Dawson, who has stepped in to make his first two starts for the club.

Head coach Carlos Carvalhal has no major new injury or suspension worries, while striker Steven Fletcher is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up despite needing stitches in a head cut sustained in last week's defeat at Derby.

Scotland international midfielder Barry Bannan is poised to make his 50th league appearance for the club.

Ipswich will have left-back Jonas Knudsen available for the trip to Hillsborough.

Danish international Knudsen missed the 2-2 draw against Rotherham with a back injury, so teenager Myles Kenlock is expected to drop back to the bench.

Forward David McGoldrick marked his first start since the opening day of the season with a stoppage-time equaliser against the Millers, so could lead the attack again.

Town boss Mick McCarthy reported no fresh injury problems, but will still be without midfielder Luke Hyam (knee), defender Tommy Smith (back) and striker Brett Pitman (ankle) while Giles Coke continues his rehabilitation following knee surgery.
