Millwall vs Southend United - Shaun Hutchinson could make his first Millwall start

Shaun Hutchinson could make his first start for Millwall when they host Southend in the FA Cup.

The defender has made just two substitute appearances since joining from Fulham in the summer but is now fit after hamstring and calf tears.

Full-back Shaun Cummings is also available after a knee injury to give boss Neil Harris - a former Southend player - further options at the back.

Harris could use the match to blood some youngsters such as Harry Smith, Paul Rooney and Christian Mbulu.

Southend could have midfielder Michael Timlin available for the first time this season.

Timlin has been sidelined by a hamstring problem, but is expected to be included in the match-day squad after returning to full training.

Striker Nile Ranger missed the 1-1 draw against Shrewsbury with a groin problem and continues to be assessed.

Forward David Mooney is now expected to be out of action until the New Year with an ankle injury.

Shrimpers boss Phil Brown is not anticipating to make sweeping changes to a team which has gone four games unbeaten, with midfielder Jermaine McGlashan and 21-year-old forward Jason Williams in contention.
