Las Palmas 3 - 3 Celta Vigo: Las Palmas fight back to earn point in six-goal thriller against Celta Vigo

Las Palmas staged an incredible comeback to recover from 3-0 down at the break to draw 3-3 at home to Celta Vigo.

The Canary Islanders looked dead and buried as Daniel Wass' free-kick and an Iago Aspas brace put Celta in control but the second half was a different story as Pedro Bigas cut the deficit to two.

Jonathan Viera's penalty made it 3-2 and Kevin-Prince Boateng finished off a glorious team move to level it, although Marcelo Diaz almost snatched a fourth for Celta in injury time.

Las Palmas had 73 per cent possession in the first half but somehow ended it 3-0 down.

Celta made the perfect start as Bigas was penalised for a foul on Aspas on the edge of the area and Wass thumped the dead ball past Raul Lizoain, who had no chance.

The Las Palmas goalkeeper was at fault for the second Celta goal in the 14th minute though as he foolishly raced from his line, allowing Aspas to hook Pione Sisto's ball past him from an acute angle into the empty net.

The former Liverpool forward scored his second and Celta's third after 20 minutes, darting forward onto Fabian Orellana's through-ball and poking a shot past Lizoain.

Las Palmas fought back into the game but Celta goalkeeper Sergio Alvarez kept them at bay, holding onto a Boateng shot with five minutes of the first half remaining and then blocking an attempt from David Garcia in the final seconds of the period.

Bigas began the revival in the 52nd minute when he beat Alvarez to an aerial ball into the box and the tide truly turned when Sergi Gomez was sent off for hauling down Marko Livaja in the area and Viera tucked away the penalty (66).

Two minutes later Boateng applied the close-range finish to turn in Michel's cross, but all the good work was almost undone in injury time.

Aspas sprayed a pass from right to left and Lizoain again came out chasing the ball with Diaz beating him to it and clipping a shot from an acute angle back towards goal, but it bounced off the crossbar and out to safety.
