Bottom club Lorient blew a two-goal lead as fellow Ligue 1 strugglers Montpellier hit back to a earn a 2-2 draw.
Defender Zargo Toure headed the hosts ahead in the 16th minute at Stade du Moustoir before former Newcastle midfielder Sylvain Marveaux fired into the bottom left corner to double the lead eight minutes later.
Senegal international striker Souleymane Camara handed the away side a lifeline in first-half stoppage time when he found the top-right corner from close range after being teed up by Morgan Sanson.
And the away side, who began the day one place above the relegation zone, grabbed a share of the spoils in the 69th minute through Sanson's strike from a tight angle.
