Pep Guardiola to Real Madrid?

Some rumours surfaced this week that Real Madrid tried to sign Pep Guardiola as their manager last summer, as Floretino Perez allegedly considered sacking Zinedine Zidane.

As a born and bred Catalan who both played and managed Madrid's eternal rivals Barcelona, Pep managing Real Madrid could provoke social media civil war in Spain.

But it's not going to happen any time soon.

Pep would never manage Los Blancos

Asked about the prospect of ever managing at the Bernabeu, Pep was unequivocal today:

'I'm a Barcelona fan…I wouldn't suit Real Madrid, and I wouldn't go there.'
