The Toffees made an impressive start to their campaign, going unbeaten in their first five league fixtures, but they have not won since the 3-1 victory over Middlesbrough on September 17.
Since that result, Ronald Koeman's side lost 2-0 to Norwich in the English Football League Cup, lost at Bournemouth, drew with Crystal Palace, drew with Manchester City, and lost at Burnley.
In team news, the Merseyside outfit have virtually a full-strength squad, with long-term absentees Tyias Browning and Muhamed Besic the only unavailable players.
Meanwhile, West Ham seem to have turned the corner after a poor start to the season that saw them win only two of their first nine games in all competitions.
Slaven Bilic's men are unbeaten in their last four games, most recently knocking Chelsea out of the EFL Cup with a 2-1 win at London Stadium on Wednesday.
Diafra Sakho may bolster the Hammers' attack as he appears to be fit again after a back injury, while Gokhan Tore, Arthur Masuaku, and Sam Bryan remain sidelined.
