Notts County vs Luton Town - Jon Stead injury could be worse than feared for County

Notts County have been dealt a huge injury blow ahead of the visit of Luton with the news that top scorer Jon Stead could be out until Christmas.
The nine-goal striker suffered an ankle injury against Crewe on October 15 and the club are still waiting for the results of a scan, although indications are he could be sidelined for around six weeks.
Magpies manager John Sheridan had encouraging news on other players, however. Michael O'Connor (groin) and Vadaine Oliver are fit again while Genaro Snijders is back in training.
Curtis Thompson has also resumed training following his long-standing ankle problem.
Danny Hylton returns from suspension for Nathan Jones' fourth-placed Hatters as they attempt to extend their unbeaten league run to seven games.
The striker, who has managed eight goals since a summer switch from Oxford, sat out last week's draw with Mansfield after picking up five yellow cards.
Teenage midfielder James Justin is also back in contention following a calf injury sustained in the warm-up at Leyton Orient two weeks ago.
Manager Jones has no new injury of suspension problems ahead of the trip north.
