Cambridge United vs Portsmouth - Medy Elito hoping to return for Cambridge
Posted Thursday, October 27, 2016 by PA
Medy Elito could come into contention when Cambridge host Portsmouth in League 2.
Midfielder Elito has returned to training following a knee injury, while forward George Maris (ankle) has been out in recent weeks.
Striker Barry Corr (knee) and defender Elliott Omozusi (foot) are still out.
Shaun Derry's Cambridge have lost just once in their last seven games, winning five times, and had goalkeeper Will Norris back in the win at Exeter following a bout of tonsillitis.
Portsmouth boss Paul Cook has a fully-fit squad to choose from.
Enda Stevens is set to retain his place in defence after being brought off as a precaution with a hamstring issue in last weekend's defeat to Notts County.
Matt Clarke is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up despite being an unused substitute while Drew Talbot (hamstring) and Adam Buxton (ankle) could make the matchday squad.
Noel Hunt returned to training last week but did not make the squad and will be hoping to play some part at Cambridge.
