Plymouth Argyle vs Colchester United - Threlkeld and Garita still out for Plymouth
Posted Thursday, October 27, 2016 by PA
Leaders Plymouth will continue to be without Oscar Threlkeld and Arnold Garita when they host Colchester in Sky Bet League Two.
Defender Threlkeld remains sidelined with knee ligament injury while Cameroonian striker Garita, on loan from Bristol City, is yet to recover from a hamstring problem picked up last month.
Pilgrims manager Derek Adams has plenty of competition for places and has indicated he may make changes from the team which won at Newport last weekend.
Striker Ryan Brunt (knee) and defender Gary Sawyer (stomach muscle) are long-term absentees.
Colchester left-back Lewis Kinsella is expected to be out until the New Year following ankle surgery.
Midfielders Doug Loft (Achilles) and Tom Lapslie (hamstring) have stepped up their rehabilitation in training.
Winger Brennan Dickenson (hamstring) and defender Matt Briggs (hip) are also closing in on a return.
Owen Garvan is, meanwhile, working on a fitness programme after a series of frustrating injury set-backs since the midfielder suffered an ankle problem in pre-season.
