Carlisle vs Crawley Town - Carlisle captain Danny Grainger suspended for Crawley visit

Posted Thursday, October 27, 2016 by PA

Carlisle will be without captain Danny Grainger as they look to extend their record-breaking unbeaten run at home to Crawley.

The Cumbrians are 14 matches without defeat but must do without Grainger, who has scored in the last four games but picked up a fifth booking of the season last time out.

Macauley Gillesphey could move across to deputise at left-back, with Shaun Brisley ready to step in at centre-half.

David Atkinson is out for three weeks with a calf tear but striker Shaun Miller is back from suspension.

Crawley boss Dermot Drummy is considering his options in attack for the Sky Bet League Two trip to Carlisle.

The 0-0 draw with Accrington was the first time Crawley have failed to score this season and there may be changes as a result.

Jordan Roberts, Josh Payne and Matt Harrold are suffering from injuries and their fitness will be assessed.

Mark Connolly played against Accrington but may be rested due to a groin niggle.
