Ipswich vs Rotherham United - David McGoldrick in line for Ipswich start
Posted Thursday, October 27, 2016 by PA
Ipswich forward David McGoldrick could be in contention to start against Rotherham following his return from an ankle ligament injury.
Republic of Ireland international McGoldrick came off the bench in the 3-0 defeat at Sky Bet Championship leaders Newcastle for a first appearance since early August.
Midfielder Cole Skuse missed the trip to St James' Park with a toe injury, while forward Leon Best will be assessed after suffering a suspected dislocated finger.
Veteran forward Luke Varney has recovered from his hamstring problem which saw him miss six matches, but midfielder Luke Hyam (knee), defender Tommy Smith (back) and striker Brett Pitman (ankle) remain sidelined.
Rotherham will include new signing Peter Odemwingie in their squad at Portman Road.
The 35-year-old joined the Millers on a short-term deal until January earlier in the week and new boss Kenny Jackett says he is fit to be involved.
Stephen Kelly returns to the fray after an Achilles injury, but Tom Adeyemi, Kelvin Wilson (both calf) and Kirk Broadfoot (foot) miss out.
Jackett takes charge of his first away game, hoping to avoid equalling a club-record eighth successive league defeat.
