Bologna 1 - 1 US Sassuolo Calcio: Matri breaks Sassuolo duck to earn visitors late point at Bologna
Posted Monday, October 24, 2016 by PA
Alessandro Matri's first goal for Sassuolo stole a 1-1 Serie A draw at Bologna.
The former AC Milan striker had drawn a blank in his first six appearances since joining Sassuolo in the summer, but his 86th-minute strike claimed a share of the spoils here.
Hosts Bologna had led 1-0 at half-time thanks to Simone Verdi's fourth league goal in nine appearances this term.
Verdi's neat free-kick strike continued to separate the sides for the majority of the contest, until 32-year-old Matri plundered the late equaliser.
