Empoli 0 - 0 Chievo: Empoli fail to score for sixth game running in Serie A

Goal-shy Empoli drew a sixth consecutive Serie A blank in grinding to a stalemate with Chievo.

Chievo had Lucas Castro sent off for a second yellow card on 80 minutes, but not even that proved sufficient to break the hosts' drought.

Empoli have not found the net since their 2-1 league win over Crotone on September 12, leaving boss Giovanni Martusciello's side without a goal in 574 minutes.

The draw leaves Empoli just one place off the foot of the Serie A table, while Chievo sit seventh, having failed to capitalise on Lazio's 2-2 draw at Torino.
