Colchester United vs Morecambe - Lewis Kinsella to miss out for Colchester
Posted Friday, October 21, 2016 by PA
Colchester will be without Lewis Kinsella for the visit of Morecambe after the defender had surgery on an ankle injury which will rule him out for around three months.
Alex Wynter could again deputise at left-back, while goalkeeper Sam Walker expects to be fit following a virus.
On-loan Reading midfielder Tarique Fosu missed the 1-0 defeat at Doncaster with a hamstring problem so will be assessed along with winger Brennan Dickenson.
Youngsters Dion Sembie-Ferris and Kane Vincent-Young will both hope to be given another chance as U's boss John McGreal looks to end a six-match winless run. Midfielders Owen Garvan (leg), Doug Loft (Achilles) and Tom Lapslie (hamstring) remain sidelined, as does defender Matt Briggs (hip).
Morecambe were missing a trio of players through injury for last Saturday's 2-0 home loss to Stevenage.
It remains to be seen if Aaron Wildig (severe bruising) and Dean Winnard (groin) have any involvement this weekend.
Alex Kenyon definitely misses out again due to his knee problem.
Morecambe have lost each of their last five home league matches but have won four of their last five on the road, drawing the other.
