Milton Keynes Dons vs Southend United - Joe Walsh and Darren Potter available for MK Dons

MK Dons have Joe Walsh and Darren Potter available again as they look for that elusive first home win of the season against Southend.

Defender Walsh and midfielder Potter both served one-match bans in midweek as the Dons drew 3-3 with Bristol Rovers at stadium:mk, despite leading 3-1 at the 87-minute mark.

Both players are likely to go straight back into the starting line-up, which means Jack Hendry and Ed Upson will probably be back among the substitutes.

Daniel Powell and Nicky Maynard are also options for Milton Keynes manager Karl Robinson, who hopes forward Chuks Aneke (knee) will be fit again soon.

Southend forward Nile Ranger will be assessed after picking up a knock to his ankle in the midweek draw at Bradford.

Midfielder Jermaine McGlashan and striker David Mooney could come into contention having made an impact from the bench on Tuesday night.

Defender Adam Barrett did not make the squad at Bradford so he offers Shrimpers boss Phil Brown another option if he wants to freshen things up after his side collected four points out of six.

Midfielder Michael Timlin continues his recovery from a long-standing hamstring injury as he closes in on a first-team return.
