Bradford AFC vs Sheffield United - James Meredith hoping to make Bradford return
Posted Thursday, October 20, 2016 by PA
Bradford defender James Meredith is hoping to return to action in the home game against boss Stuart McCall's former club Sheffield United.
Left-back Meredith missed the midweek home draw against Southend after turning his ankle in last Saturday's defeat at Oxford but will be assessed and has not been ruled out.
On-loan striker Marc McNulty will not be available to play against his parent club and defender Tony McMahon remains sidelined due to a thigh problem.
Strikers James Hanson and Jordy Hiwula and winger Filipe Morais are pushing for recalls to the starting line-up.
Blades defender Jack O'Connell could return to the squad after missing the midweek win at Shrewbury through illness.
Chris Basham stepped in for O'Connell after returning from suspension and boss Chris Wilder must decide whether to make changes to his line-up.
Wilder has no new injury or suspension worries as his side look to extend their unbeaten league run to 10 matches.
Striker Caolan Lavery, an unused substitute in the last two matches after recovering from an ankle injury, is hoping to feature.
