Rotherham United vs Reading - Rotherham could have new boss in place for Reading clash

Rotherham hope to have a new manager in place by the time Reading visit in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Millers are looking for their fifth boss in 14 months after sacking Alan Stubbs on Wednesday following a run of six successive defeats.

Former Wolves boss Kenny Jackett is the frontrunner to land the role, but if they do not appoint a new man in time for Saturday, fitness coach Paul Warne will take caretaker charge.

The Millers have worries over Dael Fry (unspecified) and Kelvin Wilson (calf), while Tom Adeyemi is still a doubt.

Reading manager Jaap Stam has no fresh injury or suspension worries for the New York Stadium clash.

The Royals are looking for their first win in October after they lost 2-1 to Aston Villa on Tuesday.

Paul McShane remains a doubt due to a hamstring injury he sustained during the international break.
