Derby County vs Brentford - Max Lowe a doubt for Derby
Posted Monday, October 17, 2016 by PA
Max Lowe is a fresh injury concern for Derby as they prepare to face Brentford at the iPro Stadium.
Lowe is nursing a groin strain following Saturday's home victory over Leeds, which began Steve McClaren's second spell as manager. With Marcus Olsson also a doubt it could leave the Rams short in the left-back position.
Midfielder Will Hughes is expected to be fit despite suffering with a touch of cramp at the weekend.
Forward Nick Blackman and centre-half Jason Shackell will remain on the sidelines. Blackman has a knee injury while Shackell has missed the last six matches with a calf problem.
Brentford skipper Harlee Dean will miss the trip through suspension.
The centre-half collected his fifth booking of the season during Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Newcastle and serves a one-match ban.
Striker Lasse Vibe has been ruled out for a month with the ankle injury he sustained against Wigan before the international break.
Callum Elder is still out with a knee problem, Rico Henry remains sidelined by a shoulder injury and Alan Judge is recovering from a broken leg.
