Ryan Shotton is a doubt for Birmingham with a sore quad but should be fit for Rotherham's visit

Robert Tesche is out for Gary Rowett's side as he needs longer to recover from an ankle injury.

Paul Caddis is missing with a shoulder injury and is not expected to return for several weeks following surgery.

The game is the first match after new owners Trillion Trophy Asia completed their takeover of the club on Monday.

Rotherham have no fresh injury concerns as they aim to end their travel sickness.

Alan Stubbs' men have lost all six of their away games so far this season, the latest at Norwich on Saturday, equalling a 95-year club record.

They have suffered a blow with news of Kirk Broadfoot's injury setback. The central defender was close to a return following back surgery, but now has a foot problem which will require a visit to a specialist.

Defender Dominic Ball will shake off a knock but midfielder Tom Adeyemi is still struggling.
