Bristol Rovers vs Gillingham - Bristol Rovers to check on Ellis Harrison

Posted Friday, October 14, 2016 by PA

Bristol Rovers will check on striker Ellis Harrison ahead of their Sky Bet League One clash at home to Gillingham.

Harrison made a 6,000-mile round trip to Armenia in midweek, scoring in Wales Under-21s 3-1 European Championship qualifying win in Yerevan.

Loan signing Jake Clarke-Salter is fit after helping England Under-20s win a mini-tournament on home soil against Holland, Germany and the United States.

Jermaine Easter is absent as he serves the second game of a three-match ban but fellow striker Matty Taylor is in contention to start after coming off the bench in the last two games following a hamstring problem.

Gillingham striker Rory Donnelly will serve out a two-match suspension

Captain Josh Wright could retain his place in the side along with Australian defensive midfielder Chris Herd and forward Frank Nouble, who signed a short-term deal to start the home defeat against Oldham.

Midfielder Billy Knott will be assessed after being a late withdrawal from the bench last week and defender Ryan Jackson could be involved again following a hip problem.

Full-back Bradley Garmston (knee), defender Aaron Morris (knee) and midfielder Lee Martin (ankle) all continue their recoveries.
