Walsall vs Shrewsbury Town - Joe Edwards back from suspension for Walsall

Posted Thursday, October 13, 2016 by PA

Walsall have Joe Edwards available for their derby with Shrewsbury.

The defender has served a three-match league ban after being sent off in their 1-0 win over Bolton last month.

Record signing Andreas Makris has returned from international duty with Cyprus fully fit as he looks for his first Saddlers goal.

Five-goal striker Simeon Jackson is fatigued after playing for Canada during the international break but is expected to be fit.

Managerless Shrewsbury go to the Banks's Stadium with goalkeeping coach Danny Coyne still in charge.

Micky Mellon left to join Tranmere last week with Town second bottom of Sky Bet League One.

Coyne is without Shaun Whalley who is still likely to be out for the next month with a calf injury he suffered against Peterborough.

But midfielder Gary Deegan is back following suspension after he was sent off in Town's 1-1 draw against Swindon earlier this month.
