Azerbaijan remain unbeaten in Group C and Czech Republic are still without a win after a goalless draw in Ostrava.

With the Czechs yet to score a goal during the qualifying campaign and Azerbaijan yet to concede, perhaps the scoreline was inevitable.

There were few real opportunities in the match. Jiri Skalak put a header over the crossbar for the hosts early on before Ramil Sheydayev missed the target with a header at the other end as the midway point of the first half approached.

Visiting goalkeeper Kamran Agayev was worked by a long-range effort from Vaclav Kadlec after half an hour in the only real piece of action either keeper faced during the game.
