Peterborough United 3 - 1 Bury: Peterborough beat Bury for their first win in nine matches

Peterborough secured a first win in nine matches with a 3-1 home defeat of Bury.

After falling behind to a second minute Hayden White own goal, the hosts rallied through Chris Forrester, Marcus Maddison and an Antony Kay own goal to move into the League One play-off positions.

For high-flying Bury, it was a third straight loss after five wins out of five in September.

Peterborough suffered a poor start when right-back White turned Zeli Ismail's low cross into his own net under pressure from Tom Pope.

The home side equalised in style after 38 minutes, with Forrester meeting White's deep right-wing cross and playing a one-two with Tom Nichols before curling home.

Maddison completed the turnaround three minutes into the second-half, collecting Gwion Edwards' pass 10 yards out and side-footing a shot into the far right-hand corner.

The scoring was completed four minutes later when Nichols gathered Leo Da Silva Lopes' cross, before hitting a low cross which struck Bury goalkeeper Ben Williams and then Kay on its way into the net.
