Bradford AFC vs Shrewsbury Town - Bradford missing Josh Cullen against managerless Shrewsbury
Posted Thursday, October 06, 2016 by PA
Bradford will be without midfielder Josh Cullen for their home game against Shrewsbury.
Cullen, on loan from West Ham, is on duty with the Republic of Ireland Under-21s, but striker Marc McNulty is expected to return to contention after missing the last two games due to a dead leg.
Fellow striker James Hanson is rated 50/50 to return to the bench having been sidelined for four games with a calf problem.
Central defenders Rory McArdle (shoulder) and Nathan Clarke (calf) are hoping to make their first league appearances of the season after playing the full 90 minutes against Bury in the Checkatrade Trophy in midweek.
Goalkeeping coach Danny Coyne will take charge of Shrewsbury after manager Micky Mellon left the club on Thursday.
Mellon and assistant Mike Jackson are expected to join Tranmere, where they both featured as players, after two-and-a-half years at Greenhous Meadow.
Gary Deegan is suspended after being sent off in Shrewsbury's 1-1 draw against Swindon last weekend.
Shaun Whalley is out for up to five weeks after he suffered a calf injury against Peterborough last week while Joe Riley is struggling with a knee injury.
