James Rodriguez considering early Madrid return
Posted Friday, October 07, 2016 by Marca.com

Mulling over the possibility of returning to Madrid early, James Rodriguez is thinking about skipping Colombia's match against Uruguay on Tuesday.
A grade one injury to his left calf means he has been practically ruled out of the World Cup qualifier in Barranquilla.
If the Real Madrid No. 10 cannot play, he would prefer to cut short his stay in South America - he is currently in Asuncion for the early morning clash with Paraguay - and carry on his recuperation at the Valdebebas training facilities.
Rodriguez is aware that the absence of injured duo Casemiro and Luka Modric presents real opportunities to play, and the Colombian is determined not to waste his chance by taking unnecessary risks.
Real Madrid fear that he could aggravate an injury which would see him fully recovered within two weeks.
No one from Estadio Santiago Bernabeu has heard anything which would suggest James Rodriguez is obliged to travel after their clash with Alaves.
If he returns early, Zinedine Zidane and his staff will breathe easier.
