Wolfsburg 0 - 0 Mainz: Mario Gomez fails to score again as Mainz hold Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg played out their third goalless draw of the season with Mario Gomez once again failing to find the back of the net.

Gomez has yet to open his account for the Wolves and the lack of a first goal was obvious as he tried desperately to score against Mainz.

Julian Draxler had the best chance of the game midway through the second half when he rounded Jonas Lossl, but Giulio Donati covered for his goalkeeper and made a clearance off the line.

The fans showed what they felt of their side's latest stalemate with jeers meeting the final whistle.
