Sampdoria 1 - 1 Palermo: Bruno Fernandes strikes as Sampdoria fight back to hold Palermo
Posted Sunday, October 02, 2016 by PA
Bruno Fernandes scored a last-gasp equaliser for Sampdoria to earn a 1-1 draw with 10-man Palermo at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Ilija Nestorovski showed composure to slot into the bottom corner to give Palermo the lead on 60 minutes and it looked to have sealed only their second league win of the season.
But Alessandro Gazzi was given his marching orders for his second yellow card in the second minute of stoppage time and the hosts used the extra man to their advantage. Fernandes drilled a half-volley into the roof of the net three minutes later to gain an unlikely point.
