Bologna 0 - 1 Genoa: Giovanni Simeone scores only goal as Genoa beat Bologna

Giovanni Simeone continues to make an impact in his maiden Serie A season after scoring the only goal as Genoa beat Bologna 1-0.

After Bologna defender Daniele Gastaldello was dismissed for arguing with the referee just before the break, Genoa returned to the pitch to pour forward in pursuit of a winner.

Simeone - the son of Atletico Madrid boss Diego - found his second goal in two matches with a smooth finish after collecting Diego Laxalt's assist in the 77th minute.

Tempers flared at the death with both Bologna midfielder Blerim Dzemaili and Genoa defender Santiago Gentiletti seeing red.
