Brentford vs Reading - Injury problems mounting for Brentford ahead of visit of Reading

Posted Monday, September 26, 2016 by PA

Brentford will be without Ryan Woods and have doubts over Josh McEachran and Lewis Macleod for the visit of Reading.

Woods serves a one-game ban after racing to five bookings from nine matches this season.

Fellow midfielders McEachran (foot) and Macleod (knee) suffered injuries during Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Wolves.

Callum Elder is still out with a knee injury, Tom Field has a groin problem, Rico Henry remains sidelined by a shoulder injury and Alan Judge is recovering from a broken leg.

Reading manager Jaap Stam has no fresh injury or suspension concerns as they travel to Griffin Park.

Deniss Rakels and Yakou Meite (ankle) are still sidelined as the Royals look for their third league win in a row.

Garath McCleary will sit out his third game following his red card against Barnsley and defender Tyler Blackett is also unavailable due to his dismissal against Huddersfield.

Reading are currently fourth in the league table and a win could see them move into the automatic play-off places.
