Antonio Conte wants to phase Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic out of the Chelsea squad, The Daily Mail reports.
The pair were responsible for an Arsenal goal in Saturday's 3-0 defeat and Conte hopes to replace them.
Despite the signing of David Luiz and Marcos Alonso in the summer, the Italian reportedly wants to sign two centre-backs and a full-back in January.
Michael Keane from Burnley and Middlesbrough's Ben Gibson are two reported targets as the Blues are looking to sign home-grown players.
