Posted Sunday, September 25, 2016 by PA

Eintracht Frankfurt and Hertha Berlin shared six goals in a thriller at the Waldstadion on Saturday.

Hertha opened the scoring in the 19th minute with Vedad Ibisevic converting a penalty after Haris Seferovic fouled Valentin Stocker inside the penalty area.

Frankfurt took some time to get settled, but they hit back with two goals before half-time. Marco Fabian brought them level in the 39th minute before Alexander Meier put them in front on the stroke of half-time.

The game was turned on its head once again in the second half with Ibisevic bringing Hertha level on the volley just shy of the hour mark and Alexander Esswein put them back in front shortly after.

There was to be some late drama, though, as Michael Hector headed in an equaliser in stoppage time and completed the scoring.
