Falkirk vs Ayr Utd. - Bairns look to make it five on the bounce against Ayr United

Falkirk will look to defeat visitors Ayr United and secure their fifth win in a row without defenders Aaron Muirhead and Peter Grant who are both suffering from knee injuries.

Bairns boss Peter Houston has an otherwise fully-fit squad at his disposal, with competition for places heating up.

He said: "John Rankin and Lee Miller came off the bench last weekend and helped turn a 1-1 draw with Dundee United into a 3-1 success. They are doing everything they can to play as are the rest of the squad.

"That competition for places will help against a well-organised Ayr side that sent out a huge warning last weekend by defeating Hibs."

Ayr United are again missing Craig Moore due to a head injury and manager Ian McCall unlikely to risk Jamie Adams on Falkirk's artificial surface after he picked up an injury in their win at Hibernian.

McCall said: "Falkirk's surface is a good one however I don't want to risk Jamie jarring anything and being out for longer. I do not envisage any more changes as we played well at Easter Road especially in the second half.

"We will need that level of performance to pick up any points from this game as Falkirk are a good side who have now clicked into gear."
