Dunfermline have goalkeeper Sean Murdoch available for the first time this season as they look to end a five-game losing run against managerless St Mirren.

Murdoch is fit after a wrist injury, David Hopkirk returns from a knock and Lewis Spence is available following suspension.

Manager Allan Johnston said: "There is no crisis but there is plenty of determination to get winning again. We have not been that far away in any of the games however we know that the results have been disappointing.

"If we keep playing in the manner that we have been playing in then I am sure that results will pick up."

Bottom of the table St Mirren dispensed with manager Alex Rae's services in the wake of last Saturday's 1-1 draw at Dumbarton.

With assistant manager David Farrell also leaving the club's head of youth Allan McManus and experienced centre back Andy Webster have been preparing the side for their trip to Fife.

Rocco Quinn could return after two months out with a knee injury however Callum Gallagher remains a doubt.

McManus said: "Things were a bit quiet earlier in the week however the players have worked hard for both Andy and me. I am sure that they will be ready for a tough test at Dunfermline."
