Stenhousemuir vs Alloa Athletic - Warriors bid to conclude Marsh deal before they face table-toppers

Stenhousemuir hope to complete the signing of former Clyde defender David Marsh in time for him to make his debut against leaders Alloa.

Ciaran Summers and Vinnie Berry are available for the Warriors after recovering from knocks, but injuries have ruled out Jim Paterson (back) and Jack Smith (ankle).

Manager Brown Ferguson said: "We showed plenty of spirit to come back from two goals down and draw with Peterhead.

"We will need that spirit again when we face an Alloa side that have been terrific in the league and gave Celtic a hard time in the Betfred Cup in midweek.

"We have to focus on what we have been doing well recently to win."

Alloa will be without Steven Hetherington, who has a groin injury, but on-loan Celtic midfielder Luke Donnelly is available to manager Jack Ross after he missed the visit to Celtic Park on Wednesday.

Ross said: "We may have lost 2-0 in midweek, but there were plenty of positives to take from the game.

"We are now back into our reality and have to handle what could be looked at as a bread-and-butter game. I'm sure that we will as there is a good mentality in our squad.

"Stenhousemuir are improving in every game so this will be a tough test for us."
