Leeds United vs Ipswich - Chris Wood, Rob Green and Pontus Jansson set for Leeds recalls

Leeds striker Chris Wood, goalkeeper Rob Green and defender Pontus Jansson are among those expected to return to the starting line-up for the home game against Ipswich.

Skipper Liam Bridcutt is also hoping to return to contention after missing the last two games due to a foot injury.

Head coach Garry Monk made seven changes for the midweek EFL Cup win against Blackburn and defender Luke Ayling, midfielder Pablo Hernandez, plus wingers Hadi Sacko and Stuart Dallas are all pushing for recalls.

Monk has no major new injury worries as his side bids for a third straight league win and fourth in all competitions. Defender Gaetano Berardi is closing in on a return to action after a hamstring injury.

Former Leeds forward Luke Varney and Teddy Bishop are doubts for Ipswich.

Varney suffered a hamstring problem in a development squad game against Leeds earlier in the week, while Bishop sustained a nose injury in their goalless draw against Aston Villa last weekend.

Luke Hyam is making good progress on his knee injury after news that the midfielder does not require surgery.

Grant Ward is expected to be fit but David McGoldrick and Jonny Williams remain sidelined with ankle injuries.
